Welcome to STRIVE (the Southern Liver Health Study)!
STRIVE is a team effort between researchers from NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, and Emory.
We are studying why liver disease is becoming more common, especially for African-Americans and other minorities.
- Liver cancer deaths are rising: about 41,000 people will be diagnosed with liver cancer in 2022.
We need your help to learn how chemicals in the environment can affect our genes, and make us (and our livers) more or less healthy.
- This will help us prevent and treat liver cancer and other diseases in the future.
